Nottingham

GO:

In Nottingham, there plenty of cars on the roads. The town was also very walkable. I didn't see any (obvious) bike lanes. My group was assigned to the Meadows. We walked there from the train station using Google Maps. As we got closer, it seemed there was a bus stop at every other corner of the street we were walking down. It seemed like in the area, buses only went down a couple of main roads and the actual neighborhood only had cars on the road.

GO:

We took a bus back when it was time to meet at the coffee shop. We used Google Maps again to find the closest bus stop and to make sure we were getting off at the right stop. we had missed the bus it told us to take, but a local let us know that all but one of the buses would get us there. The buses were numbered so it was easy enough to tell which was which. On the bus, there were buttons to press to request a stop.

LIVE:

In the Meadows, the housing was much more compact than the housing we had passed on our way there. There was less open space in front of each home so each home had a small individual piece of greenspace out front in-between the front of the house and the sidewalk. There was also a very large open field at one edge of the neighborhood. It looked somewhat maintained but it wasn't very pretty.

MAKE:

At the coffee shop, by default they use reusable mugs and glasses for customers sitting in and disposable plastic cups and coffee cups for those carrying out. By request, you can have your drink in a take-out cup if you’re sitting in. Alternatively, you can bring your own reusable cup for 10% off and they sell reusable bottles there.
